Flint Hills Group Celebrates Four Years of Innovation

It’s been four years and 50 customers since our founding in October of 2016. Flint Hills Group started as a team of 16 highly experienced US engineers with expertise in software development, agile and scrum methods, project management, cyber-security, blockchain, process improvement and IT hardware installation and configuration.

Our core values created in 2016 still hold true today. We haven’t changed a single word as we practice them every day and review them every team meeting.

Since our founding, we have learned a lot more about our customers’ needs, and as a result have sharpened our focus on two main areas: custom software development in the cloud and updating/enhancing legacy systems for companies who need the help of experts. Our team has expanded to 40 experienced US software developers and leaders.

Here are a few innovative solutions we’ve built for customers over these four years:

1. An artificial intelligence system processing human voice and video for soft skills.
2. A tablet and cloud solution to track locomotive refueling transactions and invoice train companies in real time. This system also included a paperless vehicle inspection system for the Department of Transportation.
3. A facial recognition clock-in/out system integrated with ADP® payroll.
4. Resurrecting and supporting an industrial software solution written in “C code” more than 15 years ago where the developer retired with no software support in place.
5. A pressure testing system for oil and gas lines using mobile apps and a cloud dashboard for reporting.
6. A tablet-based park inspection system using geo-mapping and report generation for customers.
